Adsense makes a little sense!

I consider myself to be self taught when it comes to the computer, internet and making my own web site at Kristiscovers.com. I Have just recently chose to monetize it. I made a few dollars in the first day and stayed steady for a day or two but I am realizing how much work goes into getting even more traffic to your website to get those oh so needed clicks and search users. I know about seo and other ways of driving traffic to my site but I seem to be stuck on getting an actual site I really like that keeps people there longer than a minute or two. I do just fine with people who have been personally referred, but to the average pregnant mom looking for custom crib bedding to go in her nursery, I guess it is just too much work to inquire about the products.

I feel like I should just quit designing and just make up pages of nothing but ads. I could do this with no problem. But I like what I do and just need that extra nudge to get a little "buzz" going on at my site.

This is where the ads came in. I figured if I had a little traffic and some ads it would sort of go hand in hand and get a better listing over time in searches engine listings. It's slowly working but I, like everyone else, need it to work sooner than later. I will keep steaming along trying to find the right combination to get all the pregnant mommies to really consider my custom nursery bedding while they are still pregnant and to also get these adsense ads to work for me!

I know it can be done!! If you have any hints even obvious ones, please let me in on them!

Some thoughts!

I am just a normal stay at home mom with a part time hobby turned seamstress business and my husband works continually trying to keep us afloat in the world. I wonder what will happen if the job market does not get any better. We are already struggling! I am torn between leaving my kids home alone each day, paying a babysitter to hang out with them or to keep plugging along looking for a way to make some extra pay from home each day. I am sure there are so many of you in the same situation. What are we to do? I often wonder if we will ever get just one teeny break. We would be happy just being able to keep our heads above water!

I know that everyone has their opinion about working vs staying home and I welcome you ALL to your comments and opinions. We need the your advice too! If you think you think you might have some insight and would like to contribute posts to my blog, please feel free to contact me for an invite. I know everyone just needs a place to share and feel like your words mean something, even if it is just to vent. I'm up for it!

Day 2 - We actually made money with Google Adsense yesterday!

I am somewhat,OK very, skeptical when it comes to making money online. It seems like everyone and everything is out there to scam or spam you to death! I have only tried a few ways to make money online here and there and after several years of having a live website with OK profits, I have added Google Adsense and Adsense for search boxes to my website and blogs. This is proving to be a great addition to my business. Just starting out with the service and my web site is paying for it's self. How great is that? So not only can you add this great money making service to your website but you can include it in blogs on your mobile content, in your feeds.

I am going to try to keep all you fellow skeptics up to date with a daily or every other day report during the beginning of my use of Google Adsense! Hopefully it will pay off a little in the long run. We'll see!
